The main feature of Alpha-Innotec or Image quant software is the ability to do densitometry on images of gels, blots an so on. But it is expensive to have on every computer in the lab! For Tiffany, just make a .tif and a .bmp of your image in the same folder, using your favorite graphics program. Open the .bmp with Tiffany, choose the numder of rows and columns for your grid, draw the grid with a simple drag, press "dodensity" and your results are right there, ready to paste into a spreadsheet. Kiss the workstation at the end of the hall goodbye!
