abcMonitor uses the TCP/IP protocol to ping your Servers, Workstations, Routers or any other devices that uses IP protocol on you network. abcMonitor will ping all the devices you add to your poll list and if the ping command timeouts it will wait a user specified time then try to ping the device again, if this fails abcMonitor will wait the second user specified time and ping the device one last time before alerting you by executing a command. All events are are also logged. You can then use our abcPager software to send a page to you when a system goes down. This is very inexpensive way to monitor your network devices.
All IP parameters are set by the user including Packet Size, Time Out & TTL You can set individual polling times for each device, and the time to wait before pinging a failed device again. (delay time). You can also schedule what time period of each day that you want to monitor your network.
